Born and raised in Brazil, Philippe has always had a deep love for animals. However, it wasn’t until he attended grooming school that he truly discovered his passion for working with them—and realised it was the career path he wanted to pursue.

With over six years of full-time grooming experience, Philippe is constantly evolving in his craft. He regularly attends industry seminars to stay up to date with the latest techniques and trends, and actively participates in grooming competitions—earning multiple awards that reflect both his skill and dedication.

His top priority is always the well-being of every pet that steps onto his grooming table. Alongside his focus on comfort and care, his commitment to delivering high-quality, stylish grooms is evident in every detail of his work.

General Manager

As a dedicated manager and receptionist at Miam's Pets, Carol combines her love for animals with professional expertise, creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. But there's more to Carol than meets the eye—she's not just our manager; she's also a hidden artist. When she's not navigating the ins and outs of our salon, she unleashes her creativity on canvases, adding colorful expressions to the world around her. Dogs and art alike bask in the warmth of Carol's passion, making her an invaluable part of the Miam's Pets team. In addition to her roles as manager, salon owner, and artist, Carol's diverse skill set extends to tattoo artistry. Beyond managing day-to-day operations at Miam's Pets, she channels her passion for creativity into crafting unique designs on skin.

Full-Time Groomer

Kathleen’s grooming journey began with her rescue dog, Dobby, who inspired her to pursue professional training and dive into the world of pet care. With over three years of full-time experience, she’s passionate about building trust with both dogs and their owners to achieve each pet’s ideal look. Her goal is to make every client feel confident that their pets are not only safe, but genuinely loved.

Kathleen is Pet First Aid and CPR certified, an award-winning competitive groomer, and remains committed to ongoing education. She attends industry seminars and grooming competitions to continue refining her craft. She brings both skill and heart to every appointment and looks forward to meeting new dogs and their families—while continuing to welcome back her loyal clients at Miam’s Pets.

Full-Time Groomer

With a strong passion for animal welfare and a commitment to continuous growth, Maya is dedicated to bringing out the best in every pet she grooms—combining skill, care, and style. She began her grooming journey after developing a deep love for her favorite breed, the Standard Poodle. With over 3 years of experience, she has volunteered her grooming services for service dogs, earned certification in Pet First Aid and CPR, and continually hones her craft through industry seminars, trade shows and competitions. Maya looks forward to providing your pup with a safe, comforting grooming experience—and sending them home looking and feeling their best!

Part-Time Groomer

Ashley brings over 15 years of grooming experience to the team, along with several additional years working in veterinary clinics. These combined experiences have led her to participate in grooming competitions, where she has placed multiple times.

She currently divides her time between grooming dogs and serving as a secondary instructor in the Animal Care program at Sheridan College. Ashley has a special love for spaniels and sporting breeds. Her own fur baby, Calli, is an English Springer Spaniel, and during the summer, they can often be found up north—swimming, camping, and relaxing by the fire.

Ashley is known for her patience and exceptional handling skills. With her knowledge, energy, and competitive spirit, she is a valuable member of our team. She loves pampering her clients’ fur babies and takes pride in every dog she grooms.
