Owner/ Head Groomer  

 Born and raised in Brazil, Philippe has always had a passion for animals. His love for working with them wasn’t discovered until he attended grooming school and realized that it was the career he wanted to pursue.

As a full-time groomer for over six years, he continues to seek new techniques and improvements to enhance his work. His number one priority for every pet that steps onto his table is the well-being of that animal. In addition to prioritizing their well-being, his commitment to providing the best haircut is always evident in his work.

Owner/General Manager  

  As a dedicated manager and receptionist at Miam's Pets, Carol combines her love for animals with professional expertise, creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. But there's more to Carol than meets the eye—she's not just our manager; she's also a hidden artist. When she's not navigating the ins and outs of our salon, she unleashes her creativity on canvases, adding colorful expressions to the world around her. Dogs and art alike bask in the warmth of Carol's passion, making her an invaluable part of the Miam's Pets team. In addition to her roles as manager, salon owner, and artist, Carol's diverse skill set extends to tattoo artistry. Beyond managing day-to-day operations at Miam's Pets, she channels her passion for creativity into crafting unique designs on skin. 

Full-Time Groomer 

  Kathleen’s first rescue dog, Dobby, introduced her to the world of grooming, and she hasn’t looked back since. He quickly taught her that there is a lot involved in grooming a dog! She decided to receive proper training at her local pet store as a bather and grooming trainee. Since then, her passion for grooming has continued to grow!

With over four years of full-time grooming experience, she loves spending one-on-one time with the dogs in her care. She strives to communicate effectively with each pet owner to ensure their dog achieves the desired look. She wants all her clients to feel that their dogs are loved and that she will care for them as if they were her own.

She looks forward to meeting new dogs and their owners, as well as welcoming back her loyal clients at Miam’s Pets.

Part-Time Groomer 

 Ashley brings over 15 years of grooming experience to the team, along with additional years of experience in veterinary clinics. These combined experiences have led her to attend grooming competitions, where she has placed multiple times! She currently divides her time between dog grooming and serving as a secondary instructor in the Animal Care program at Sheridan College.

Ashley loves her spaniels and sporting dogs. Her own fur baby is Calli, an English Springer Spaniel, and during the summer, they can be found spending weekends up north, swimming, camping, and relaxing by the fire.

Ashley’s most admirable qualities in grooming are her patience and handling skills. With her knowledge, energy, and competitive nature, she is a valuable part of our team. She loves to pamper her clients’ fur babies and takes pride in every dog she grooms.

Part-Time Groomer Assistant

 Dawn is the epitome of "it's never too late to pursue your dreams." Growing up, her first fur baby was Hua Hua, a stray tabby cat who leapt onto the balcony of her childhood home and effectively into her heart. Although she was not able to immediately pursue a career with animals, Dawn's love for them stayed with her. Finally, unable to ignore her calling, she left a successful career in logistics to follow her heart and embrace her true passion for animals.

With a commitment to ensuring every pet leaves spiffy and adored, Dawn is known for her meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful approach, making sure that each grooming experience she takes part in is tailored to meet the unique needs of every furry friend. Her passion lies in making every pet feel and look their best, and she brings a genuine love for all fur babies with her whenever she steps into the salon.

Looking ahead, Dawn also wants to venture into the world of creative grooming, where she would be able to combine her natural artistic flair with her grooming expertise.
